UK and International Delivery Charges

We can no longer guarantee UK Christmas delivery.

The price of the products will be the price quoted on the website at the date the order is received and will include VAT if applicable. Delivery costs are in addition to the price quoted and are as follows:

UK Delivery for purchases UNDER £100 - £5.95

UK Delivery for purchases OVER (and inc.) £100 – FREE

Our UK courier is Royal Mail. On occasion, we may use UPS, DHL or Parcelforce. A tracking number is provided once your order is dispatched and Royal Mail will provide you with delivery updates via email. We endeavour to deliver quickly, but please allow up to 5 working days for standard or free delivery.

Please note that orders placed for delivery outside of the UK will be subject to import tax. Further details below.

Our international couriers are DHL and UPS. A tracking number is provided once the item is dispatched. Please allow up to 5 working days for dispatch.

Please note: Our international couriers have suspended all operations in Ukraine, Belarus, and Russia. Therefore, we are not currently shipping to these countries.


Taxes and Duties

Delivery to countries inside and outside of the EU

As of 1st January 2021, shipments from the UK to the EU are no longer subject to VAT. Shipments sent outside of the UK are sold exclusive of VAT and may be subject to import duties and taxes, which may be levied once a shipment reaches your country. Please note: It is a legal requirement that we declare the full value of the goods (not including shipping charges) on all packages destined both inside and outside the European Union, and shipments may be subject to import duties and taxes, which are to be paid by yourself once a shipment reaches your country. It is a criminal offense to falsify the details on this form. We cannot inaccurately describe the contents, claim a lower value or mark as a gift. Please do not ask, or expect us to do any of the above. For details of Customs charges please consult your own Customs authorities for the latest rates.

If these fees are left unpaid, the products will be held by customs for a certain period, after which they will be returned to us. We are within our rights to charge the recipient for the cost of returning the goods to the UK. As we are not liable for these fees, we have no responsibility to refund your order or send it again if the goods are destroyed by customs rather than returned to us.

Please note that all import and duties fees enforced by customs upon receiving your order are non-refundable. If you return your order for a refund, you cannot claim back on the import fees paid as the goods would have been shipped from the UK, outside of the European Union.

Delivery to the US

When ordering from William Evans Ltd. you are considered the importer of record. Orders will be liable for duties and import taxes. The customs territory of the US includes the 50 US States, the District of Columbia, and Puerto Rico.

Orders to the US are subject to duties and import taxes, which must be paid by yourself. Unfortunately we have no control over these charges. We are unable to reimburse any costs incurred regardless of the circumstances. By ordering with us, you accept these fees and waver your right to cancel your order once it reaches US Customs and Border Protection.

If these fees are left unpaid, the products will be held by US customs for a certain period, after which they will be destroyed. As we are not liable for these fees, we have no responsibility to refund your order or send it again.

Please note that the Web Department is not open on weekends or bank holidays and your inquiry will be answered on the following working day from 09:00 - 17:00 UK time .The London and Bisley shops do not have access to the Web Order portal to follow up details of a web order, so any queries are answered by the web team in working day hours only. 

We are unable to pass instructions to UPS or Royal Mail to deliver to a neighboring property or "safe place", the consignee must sign for the item intended for the recipient. Parcels cannot be left outside front door or insecurely for security reasons, and may be taken to your nearest UPS Access Point or Post Office if no one is present to sign for the item.  Click here to find your nearest UPS Access Point location. We regret we are unable to allow customers to pick up items from either Bisley or London shops due to space and stock movement timings. Please email us at info@williamevans.com if you are unsure about the availability of your item and we will do our best to help. We are also unable to hold items purchased online.

Parcels returned to William Evans if the recipient is not present to receive the item after three attempts will incur a fee to redeliver.  Please email us should you wish for us to dispatch on a designated day. All orders are sent out within 3 - 5 working days and embossing orders are up to 14 days dispatch time. Items from the Bisley store are usually sent out next working day due to the close proximity of the location of the web department. All web orders are sent from the Head Office.


Returns

Please note that we do not offer free returns, both UK and international returns will be at the cost of the customer.

Our returns period is currently 60 days.

Please send any returns to the address below and ensure you include the completed returns form, enclosed at the time of ordering. Postage for returns are not reimbursed and must be sent using a traceable service.

Orders sent out mistakenly by William Evans Ltd must be notified and we will send a return label to have the wrong parcel returned. Please do not send the item back before contacting us as we cannot reimburse postage. Every effort is made to send all parcels out correctly and in a timely fashion. Please note we cannot change the destination of the parcel once it has been dispatched.

International customers are reminded to mark the parcel returning to William Evans as a "return". William Evans Ltd will not accept packages which incur import fees as a result of a parcel wrongly described at point of entry.
